Drs. Aveline Ackermans-Swart I have been working as a plastic surgeon since 1995. Over the years, I have gained experience in cosmetic surgery at Medisch Centrum Scheveningen (known for Dr. Robert Schoemacher) and the Bergman Clinic. I also worked simultaneously at two hospitals (in Capelle aan den IJssel and Spijkenisse) for six years, and spent 17 years at the Groene Hart Hospital in Gouda. I have been working exclusively at VandenBroecke Kliniek since 2017. Since performing my very first eyelid correction, I have learned a great deal. I can safely say that eyelid surgery is an area where experience truly counts. What looks right for someone’s face? How much skin (and sometimes fat or muscle tissue) can I remove to achieve the best possible result for each patient? For someone who is 65, it’s often very different than for someone who is 35.
